# Map Chart

## Introduction <a href="#introduction" id="introduction"></a>

The **Map Chart** displays data on a map by country, continent, or federal state. Currently, there are four different maps available:

* World
* Europe
* Germany
* USA

## Expected Data <a href="#expected-data" id="expected-data"></a>

The maps expect data in a two-column format, with the data label (e.g. country name) in the first column and the corresponding value in the second column (the column name itself does not matter), such as:

In order to match your data label to the expected ones above, you can make use of Mappings.

## Map Settings and Styling <a href="#map-settings-and-styling" id="map-settings-and-styling"></a>

The maps can be changed in *Graph Designer* ➔ *Input parameters* ➔ *Series* ➔ *Map*:

The data type, i.e. if the data is by country, continent, or federal state can be set in *Graph Designer* ➔ Input parameters ➔ *Series* ➔ *Data Type*:

You can change the coloring by selecting different colors in *Graph Designer* ➔ *Input parameters* ➔ *Visual Range* ➔ *Visuals for Range* ➔ *Range Coloring*:
