Dashboard Filters

You can set filters for the dashboard that you are viewing by clicking on the Filter button in the dashboard menu:
A popup will appear where you can set the filters:
In the first field you have to select the underlying table (transformation or data source) which you want to filter (If there is only one table available this table will be already selected).
Select the column (field in the source system) which you want to filter. You can search using any part of the column name, e.g. searching for name could result in name, company_name etc.
Then select the operator you want to use for filtering
Select the values you want to filter for. If you're filtering a text column the field will show you all (or for a lot of different values most) of the possible values. You can also search in this field.
You can then add more filters, remove some or all filters and click Apply and close to apply the filters to the dashboard. If you select multiple filters they will be combined into an AND filter, so the data that will be shown needs to fulfill all selected filter criteria.
There might be some pre-defined filters set by a Dashboard editor, so that you can access the most relevant filters quickly. You can also remove those filters and select others:
If you're editing a dashboard, you can click the Set Filter button in order to set pre-defined filters for viewers of the dashboard.
Instead of four fields you will now only see the Table to be filtered and Column to be filtered field. You can fill them out as described above.
Those filter option will then be shown to the users whenever they open the dashboard and filter dialog (as shown above), but they can still remove those filters and add new ones for their current session (i.e. if they reload the dashboard your pre-defined filters will be shown again).
Furthermore, you can limit the filter options to only the pre-defined ones by toggling Allow only set filters, so that the viewing users cannot filter by any other table(s) and column(s):
If you don't want to allow any filters for the viewing users you just don't select any filters and toggle Allow only set filters and click Save:
